Winter field recording in Romania

My plans for January were to travel and record in the Northern reaches of the Sahara desert, among other interesting places. Unfortunately, due to worrying developments I had to cancel everything and find a last-minute destination for a week-long recording trip. After checking the weather forecast I decided to travel to Romania where plenty of snow was to fall.

In November 2017 I spent 3 weeks traveling and recording around Senegal, joined by my friend Matt and our guide Youssou Badji. Sound effects library coming soon. Music by Dieuf Dieul de Lompoul performing at Campement du Desert, Lompoul.

I recently returned from a 3 week expedition to Senegal. To say that it was an enjoyable experience would be an understatement. This was more than 1000 miles through desert, dry savanna, tropical savanna, tropical forest, wetland, mangrove forest, bustling cities, remote villages and anything in between.
