The program will run one to two months and will take place as a series of weekly calls. I will go through a number of planned topics and then you will have time to ask questions. I will offer advice, guidance and feedback that you can use directly in your work.

I can only do this with one person at a time and my schedule is pretty full at the moment so you will have to be flexible. You are expected to know some basics including signal chain, microphone and sound recording basics, digital audio workstations, editing audio etc.

You don’t need much experience in these fields, but enthusiasm and passion are essential.

I will cover topics like fieldcraft, expedition planning, equipment, applications for field recording, sfx library creation, marketing and sharing audio online, making money with your recordings, editing and mastering field recordings, philosophy and ethics of field recording and a few others.

Please don’t message me on social media about this as I will only look at the emails I receive when selecting a mentee. The mentorship is free of charge and there is no catch. You just need to be passionate about field recording and audio in general.
