Answering your field recording questions in one to one sessions

September 8, 2020

I often get requests for one to one sessions. Topics range from technical aspects of field recording, equipment choice or expedition planning to listening, acoustic ecology, conservation, marketing, selling sound and many others. While I’m always happy to talk about my work and to share my experiences, this has become less and les sustainable as I spend more time doing it every week.

One solution I’ve found to work is to hold these sessions for a price. I’m confident the information I can offer is well worth a small fee, and if you do it through Patreon you will receive other perks as well (like free sound effects and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage every month). So far I’ve done several of these and all parties were very happy with the outcome.

Do you have questions about the topics I mentioned above or other related ones? Check out my Patreon page and sign up for the $25 tier (at least 3 months support is encouraged) and I will be happy to talk to you. We can also touch base again once you’ve made some progress and I will offer feedback.
